Payroll Giving, sometimes known as Give As You Earn or Workplace Giving, is the easiest way to make a regular donation to your North West Air Ambulance Charity. Your donation is taken pre-tax direct from the your pay, so you don’t pay any tax on it. For example, if you choose to make a donation of £10 to the North West Air Ambulance Charity, as a 20% tax payer, it will only cost you £8. If you’re a 40% tax payer it will only cost you £6.

How does Payroll Giving work?

There is no minimum or maximum donation value. You can donate whatever amount you wish.

Your donation is taken pre-tax direct from the your pay, so you don’t pay any tax on it.

For example, if you choose to make a donation of £10 to the North West Air Ambulance Charity, as a 20% tax payer, it will only cost you £8. If you’re a 40% tax payer it will only cost you £6.

The first donation will be made on the next pay day after your donation has been set up. Please note that if the payroll processing date for the next pay day has already passed, the first donation could be the following pay day.

You can increase, decrease, or stop your Payroll Giving donation at any time. Simply speak to the payroll department.

There is a small administration fee required to process the donation, usually around 3%. This is paid to the Payroll Giving Agency and will cover their costs. It is taken directly from the donation so you don’t need to do anything.
