Heather Arrowsmith, Chief Executive Officer, of North West Air Ambulance Charity, has issued the following statement:
“We offer our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families affected by yesterday’s incident in Southport.
“Two of our helicopters were dispatched to the scene and I would like to thank the crew who, alongside partner agencies, worked so hard to care for the victims.
“Our thoughts are with everyone who has been touched by this tragic event.”
