The Best of Lancashire Award ceremony took place on the 28th of September at the Crow Wood Hotel and Spa Resort, where shortlisted nominees and their guests were invited to the glittering awards gala celebration dinner.

Both Michael and Freda’s spirits were still high despite not winning their categories on the night.

As huge advocates of the North West Air Ambulance Charity, both volunteers should be very proud to have been nominated for their hard work and dedication.

Laura Carr, the charity’s Regional Fundraiser for South Lancashire, attended the awards ceremony with Freda and Michael, she said: “It was an honour to attend the Best of Lancashire Awards after two of our #NWAAmazing Volunteers, Freda and Michael, were nominated for two separate category awards, Charity Fundraiser of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.

“Freda and Michael go above and beyond every single day and the nominations were well deserved. Whilst it was a shame they didn’t win on the night the whole of the North West Air Ambulance Charity see them as winners in our eyes.”
