Celebrating a loved one by giving In Memory is a special way to remember them and create a lasting legacy in their name.
We feel incredibly privileged that you’ve chosen to support us during this difficult time. You and your loved one are making a difference for patients across our region. Thank you.
Collecting donations at your loved one’s funeral or memorial service is a powerful way to celebrate the life and legacy of someone important to you.
An online tribute page is a place to remember.
When we lose someone, memories are everything. We’ve created a space for you, family, and friends to remember.
“I originally knew about the North West Air Ambulance Charity through my mum who actively fundraised for them. My late Husband, Phil, was also passionate about the charity after they attended a colleague of his.
At his funeral, I collected donations for the charity. I knew they were close to his heart, and I was happy to choose them for his funeral collections.
I let them know and arranged for a member of their team to come and collect the donations. They offered a personal touch and as we chatted I felt appreciated and cared for. I knew their thanks were genuine and I knew that out of a sad situation, something positive would happen and the donations would make a difference. I felt closer to the charity and more connected.
We also discussed other ways to support the charity, like volunteering and a few months later I signed up. That was over two years ago, and since then I’ve had so many amazing experiences meeting new people, making friends and meeting so many wonderful supporters in my varied volunteering role.
I will always continue to support them.”

There are many ways you can fundraise In Memory of a loved one. You could join one of our NWAA events or organise your own personal In Memory event. Incorporate their personality into the event or challenge. It could be something they always wanted to do or a hobby they loved. You can make it unique to them.
However you choose to fundraise, you and your loved one will be supporting the vital work of our charity.
Abseil, cycle, run, hike or skydive – there are lots of events you can get involved in and honour someone special’s memory.
Organise your own, personal event to celebrate your loved one. If you have an idea of what you’d like to do, let us know so we can support you.
If you’re part of a Funeral Home, we would love to hear from you.
At such a difficult time, we want to make In Memory giving as smooth and simple as possible. We work closely with Funeral Directors across the North West to ensure this happens.
Our dedicated volunteers in your area are there to support you. The team will be dropping off In Memory packs and introducing themselves soon. They will be your point of contact for everything NWAA.
If you haven’t received a pack, you can request one by contacting our In Memory Officer, Laura Carr.
If there’s anything else you need or if you have any questions please get in touch.
