Financial services company, Together Finance have chosen to donate £15,000 to the North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA).
Together Finance, based in Greater Manchester, has made a significant donation to the lifesaving charity, to enable them to continue to save lives across the North West.
The money donated will go towards funding vital pieces of kit used by the consultant doctors and critical care paramedics (CCPs) at NWAA.
One of those pieces of kit is a Video laryngoscope (VL). The VL uses video technology to enable doctors and CCPs to visualise patients’ airway structures and facilitate endotracheal intubation (ETI).
The team at Together Finance were invited to the Charity’s Barton Airbase in Manchester, where they met some of the crew and were given a demonstration of the Video laryngoscopy by some of the crew.
Sarah Nield, Group Chief Compliance Officer and Let’s Get Caring Exec Sponsor said: “We’re really proud to be supporting the North West Air Ambulance Charity. They provide such a vital and lifesaving service, which provides emergency care to hundreds of patients each year.”
Sarah added: “We were lucky to see the difference the video laryngoscopes will make to the crew when treating patients. It is incredible, and will really enhance the level of care they’re able to provide.
“Together is committed to providing support for local charities, and being able to help North West Air Ambulance Charity continue its work is incredibly rewarding for us.”
The support from Together Finance will enable the North West Air Ambulance Charity to continue saving lives across the region.
The Charity relies entirely on the support of the general public and needs to raise over £12 million each year to bring the hospital to the patient.
Rachel Bates, Corporate and Trusts Manager at the North West Air Ambulance Charity said: “We were delighted to welcome representatives from Together to our base to see the impact of their generous donation.
“The video laryngoscopes will make a lifesaving difference to people in life-threatening situations, across the North West. This donation is vital as the North West Air Ambulance Charity is not part of the NHS and does not receive any government funding.”
As the Charity enters their 25th Birthday year, the continued support from businesses and the general public is as vital as ever. To find out more about how you can get involved with the North West Air Ambulance Charity, follow this link
