Support volunteer (tin collections)

Play your part and make a difference

Static collection tins are located across the North West in local businesses and are a significant sustainable source of funds for the charity.  We are looking for volunteers to assist with collecting tins from shops and businesses. The role is flexible based on how large an area you would like to cover.

What you’ll get up to

  • Liaising with businesses to find out if they need a tin emptying
  • Responding to any requests to empty a tin within your designated route
  • When needed, count and bank money you have collected
  • Invite more local businesses within your area to have a collection tin on site
  • Following NWAA cash handling procedures to safely collect tins

 

What we need from you

  • A friendly, engaging attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of your local area is an advantage
  • The ability to drive and have access to a car
